By answering the question posed above in the The Big Idea Challenge*, you have the opportunity to impress us and get a job at Google. Your answer can be in any format you choose; this might be a business plan, schematic diagram, presentation, or just some text. The top entrants will be invited to the Googleplex in London to meet the team and talk through their Big Idea.

Account Strategist

We are looking for an excellent, analytically minded graduate to "maximise" the performance of advertising that runs on Google. You must be able to distill the essence of our clients' products and services into targeted keyword lists and text adverts. Problem-solving skills are essential and you must be an excellent communicator, sensitive to language, and comfortable composing language on demand.
Google's advertising program sells highly targeted text ads that help connect our advertisers with potential customers. Attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential because the Account Strategist, alongside our Sales and Operations team, works directly with clients to optimise online marketing campaigns. The successful applicant must be analytical, articulate and get results.

The Sales Planner provides account support, maintenance and service support to the Sales team and their clients. This person should be extremely proactive, organised, responsible, and should work well within a group.

These fast-paced support groups quickly identify and resolve client concerns and contribute to programme growth.
- AdWords Coordinators work closely with AdWords users, helping them meet their advertising goals by providing excellent customer service via phone or email, reviewing ads and keywords for quality and accuracy, troubleshooting advertising campaigns and technical problems, and optimising advertiser keyword lists and ads in order to maximize their return on investment.
- AdSense Coordinators use basic HTML and JavaScript language skills to provide technical support to webmasters and website designers, and review and monitor publisher websites for adherence to programme policies, utilise technical background and support experience to troubleshoot technical customer issues. Coordinators also collaborate with internal departments to improve the AdSense programme, and work with product management, marketing, engineering, and other teams to test and implement improvements.
- Online Operations Coordinator: User Support, Gmail, Base, Checkout, and Video teams are looking for client service individuals to provide email support for Google product users. Candidates will monitor and respond to customer feedback and product performance, troubleshoot technical problems and escalate bug reports, investigate reports of Terms of Use violations, and cooperate with engineering and product teams to resolve customer concerns.
